Northborough – The Northborough Lions” Club held their 36th annual Golf Tournament June 9 at Juniper Hill Golf Course.

The tournament serves as the largest fundraiser of the year for the Lions” Club. The money raised from the tournament allows for food bank donations and provides much of the funding needed for their annual harvest dinner for the elderly in the fall.

This year's field included about 100 participants who competed in either best ball or scramble format. These participants were able to enter into a putting challenge for a chance to win $10,000. Other prizes were raffled off during a buffet dinner following the round.

Peter Martucci, who organized the event, was pleased with the turnout and the amount of money raised on behalf of the Northborough Lions Club.
