Obit Phyllis RichardsMarlborough – Phyllis. A. (Ordway) Richards, 80, of Marlborough, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Wingate at Sudbury.

Born and raised in Marlborough she was the daughter of the late Pearly L. and Annette (Leduc) Ordway, and the wife of the late Robert R. Richards Sr., who died in 2008.

She attended Marlborough High School and had been employed in the Quality Control Dept. of Alloid Corp., Marlborough as well as Space Age Electronics. A talented painter, she had also been employed by Lang International as a painter of the companies famed Sebastian Miniatures.

She is survived by her sons, Robert R. Richards Jr. and his wife Susan of Stoneham and Danny Q. Richards and his wife Ann of Marlborough; her daughters, Annette Carolyn Evers and her husband James of Marlborough and Carol Richards deOliveira and her husband William of Hudson; her brothers, Billy Ordway of Northborough, Bobby Ordway of Minnesota, Charlie Ordway and Pearly Ordway Jr., both of Marlborough; and her sisters, Stella Cox of Southbridge, Shirley Elder of Marlborough, and Marianne “Mamie” Shea of Hudson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robert R. Richards III, Autumn E. Evers, Allison Richards, Jacob Richards, Julia deOliveira, and Jeremiah deOliveira, and her great-grandchildren, Jasmine and William R. Richards. She was also the sister of the late Buster “Lesley” Ordway, Gloria Moffa, and Annette Ordway.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernadette Church, Main Street (Route 20), Northborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough. There are no funeral home visiting hours.?Arrangements are under the direction of the Slattery Funeral Home of Marlborough.
