Westborough – Lorraine V. Thomas, 88, formerly of Westborough, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Colonial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Weymouth. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Thomas.
Born in Westborough, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Eva (Tower) Gould. She was educated in Westborough schools and was a graduate of Westborough High School. She also attended Fisher Junior College and Boston University.
Lorraine was a homemaker dedicated to her home and family. She was an expert movie and TV buff and enjoyed playing trivia games.
She is survived by one daughter, Wendy L. Walsh and her husband John of Freeport, Maine; three sons, Jeffrey E. Thomas of Northbridge, Scott R. Thomas of Gouldsboro, Maine, and Craig K. Thomas of Quincy; two sisters, Marjorie Doyle of Vermont and Sharon Gingras of Millbury; three grandchildren, Russell Thomas, Colin Thomas and Jade Thomas; and one great-granddaughter, Sophie Winner. She was the sister of the late Barbara Gould.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Wednesday, July 23, from 5 – 7 p.m., at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private.
