Collins & Demac receives historical society award

Shrewsbury – Collins & Demac Real Estate was recently awarded the 2014 Restoration and Preservation Award by the Shrewsbury Historical Society. The award was given for their “significant contribution to preserving, promoting and sharing the history of the town of Shrewsbury,” and specifically relates to the painstaking and careful restoration of the home located at 520 Main St., which houses their office.

Co-owners Jim Collins, Susan Kalil Collins and John Demac are proud to be recognized for their detailed efforts to restore this magnificent property, which dates back to when Joab Hapgood, a noted manufacturer of guns and rifles, built it as his family residence.
