Southborough police log, Aug. 8 edition

Thursday, July 31

9:35 a.m. Officers investigated a one car, motor vehicle accident on Cordaville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

10:01 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Pine Hill Road residence.

11:00 a.m. Officers investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Sadie Hutt Lane.

11:12 a.m. Officers investigated a report of a suspicious motor vehicle parked on Presidential Drive.

11:23 a.m. An officer responded to a Newton Street business to investigate a report of a suspicious male party sleeping in a vehicle. The responding officer located the individual and advised that he checked out ok.

11:32 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm on Southville Road.

1:09 p.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Burnett Road residence.

2:07 p.m. Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

5:10 p.m. An officer investigated a parking complaint on Blackthorn Drive.

5:43 p.m. An officer investigated a parking complaint on Southville Road.

5:48 p.m. Officers investigated a hit & run accident on Turnpike Road. The incident is currently under investigation by the responding officer.

6:17 p.m. A chocolate Labrador retriever was located by a resident in the area of Latisquama Road. The Animal Control Officer was notified of the lost dog.

9:28 p.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Woodland Road residence.

Friday, Aug. 1

12:14 a.m. An officer investigated a report of a tree down and blocking the road on Oregon Road. The DPW was notified and responded to the scene to remove the tree.

7:34 a.m. Officers investigated a report of an erratic operator on Cordaville Road. The responding officer reported back negative findings in the area.

7:47 a.m. An officer responded to Pinecone Lane to investigate a report of a suspicious male on a bicycle in the area. The responding officer reported back that the individual had left the area prior to the officer's arrival.

8:35 a.m. Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Southville Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

9:07 a.m. An officer took a report of a phone scam from a Charles Court resident.

9:11 a.m. An officer assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.

12:48 p.m. An officer checked on a suspicious male party sleeping in his vehicle on Partridge Hill Road. The individual was located and checked out ok.

3:41 p.m. An officer investigated a report of solicitors in the area of Breakneck Hill road.

5:28 p.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Schipper Farm Lane residence.

5:49 p.m. An officer investigated a parking complaint at a Cordaville Road business.

7:32 p.m. Hopkinton Police requested Southborough Police stop & hold a motorist that had just left their town. A Southborough officer stopped the vehicle on River Street, and an officer from Hopkinton was able to make contact with the motorist.

Saturday, Aug. 2

1:20 a.m. An officer responded to Cordaville Road to investigate a report of an erratic operator in the area. The responding officer reported back negative findings.

8:51 a.m. An officer investigated a barking dog complaint on Pine Hill Road.

12:44 p.m. An officer took a report of a hit & run accident on Southville Road. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident, and the incident is currently under investigation by the responding officer.

3:06 p.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Woodland Road residence.

6:45 p.m. A medical was reported at a Main Street residence.

9:26 p.m. An officer investigated a noise complaint at a Brookside Road residence.

10:07 p.m. An officer responded back to the same residence on Brookside Road to investigate another noise complaint. The residents were advised to turn down their music.

Sunday, Aug. 3

12:32 a.m. Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Turnpike Road.

12:33 a.m. An officer investigated a report of someone screaming in the woods on Lover's Lane. The responding officer reported back negative findings in the area.

12:41 a.m. Officers investigated an abandoned 911 call from a Main Street business.

2:27 a.m. Arrested, Joshua Kerti of Green Street, Wayland, MA. Mr. Kerti was charged with OUI alcohol, possession of marijuana, and improperly altering vehicle height.

8:28 a.m. Officers investigated a two car, motor vehicle accident on Turnpike Road. Injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

11:07 a.m. Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a Carriage Hill Circle residence.

1:13 p.m. Arrested, Jason Madden of Elson Road, Waltham, MA. Mr. Madden was charged with illegal possession of a Class A substance. He was taken into custody in the parking lot of a Turnpike Road business.

5:01 p.m. Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Breakneck Hill Road.

6:10 p.m. A medical was reported at a General Henry Knox Road residence.

The information from the police log is obtained directly from the official records maintained at each police station in our circulation area. It contains arrests and samplings of police activity. Those arrested are innocent until proven guilty. The Community Advocate will publish news of acquittals upon notification and a copy of court-issued documentation.
