Obit Karen CampbellMarlborough – Karen A. (Polewacyk) Campbell, 66, of Marlborough, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.

Born and raised in Marlborough, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Sinicki) Polewacyk.

A licensed hair dresser, Karen had been employed at the former Marino’s and Chris’ in Marlborough. She later turned her hobby and love of crafts into her occupation, selling her original items at craft fairs and local shops, including Country Mischief in Templeton. She also had been employed at the Floral Gallery in Marlborough, prior to her illness.

She was a member of the former St. Ann’s Parish the Immaculate Conception Parish, Marlborough.

She is survived by her sons, James Campbell and his wife Nicole of Marlborough, Timothy Campbell and his wife Mary of Framingham, and Ryan Campbell of Marlborough; her brothers, Paul S. Polewacyk of Marlborough and Stephen J. Polewacyk of Williston, Vt.;, her grandchildren, Lucas Campbell, Lucas Ayotte, and Ella and Sophia Sullivan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her former husband, James L. Campbell of Marlborough.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, Oct. 13, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 9 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will be held at a later date.
