Peterborough, N.H. – Paul S. Shelton, 95, of Peterborough, N.H., formerly of Westborough, passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 at the Summerhill Assisted Living in Peterborough. He was the husband of the late Phyllis (Lord) Shelton.

Born in New Haven, Conn., he was the son of the late Omar and Elizabeth (Strickland) Shelton. He was educated in Hamden, Conn. schools and graduated from Boston University. He also attended The School of Industrial Management at Worcester Tech.

Paul was employed as a Division Engineer for Mass. Electric, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of the Congregational Church of Westborough; the Washington Lodge AF & AM in Warren, R.I.; the Shriner’s Bektash Temple; and the Institute of Electrical Engineers. He was also an avid golfer.

Paul is survived by two sons, P. David Shelton of Beverly Hills, Michigan and Richard C. Shelton of Peterborough, N.H.; one daughter, Elizabeth L. Fields of North Grafton; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Robert N. Shelton and brother of the late Theodore Shelton.

His funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m., in the Congregational Church of Westborough, 57 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
