Valrico, Fla. – Carey Verne Ashworth, 80, of Valrico, Fla., passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, with his beloved family at his side.
Carey was a truly wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had an incredibly generous spirit and loved to make people laugh.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of Westboro Grange Hall and Strawberry Ridge Veteran’s Club. He was also a member of the Congregational Church.
Carey was preceded in death by a brother, Servetus III, who passed away Oct. 19, 2014. He is survived by the love of his life, Joan; their son, Terry (Kathryn) of Lincoln, Calif.; five grandchildren, Joshua, Natasha, Craig, Jenna, and Emma; four great-grandchildren; and his brother, Brian (Susan) of Westborough.
The family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate his life.
