Obit Marjorie I GagliastriShrewsbury – Marjorie I. (Leone) Gagliastri, 77, of Shrewsbury, passed away in her home Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Marjorie was born and raised in Shrewsbury, daughter of the late Daniel and Irene (Orsi) Leone. She graduated from Shrewsbury High School with the class of 1956 and became a beautician, but her first priority was being a homemaker.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, Thomas E. Gagliastri; a son, Richard Gagliastri and his wife Tracy of East Hampton, Conn. and their six children, Danielle, Joshua, Guerin, Clayton, Jacob, and Gabrielle, as well as a daughter, Cynthia Zilioli and her husband Michael of Upton and their two children, Paul and Justin and his wife Gwen. She also leaves behind her two great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Miranda. In addition, she leaves her brother, Anthony Leone; three sisters, Patricia Ferraro, Barbara Davis, and Elvira Greenwich, all of Worcester. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Daniel and Robert Leone, and her sister, Jean Sciascia, as well as many nieces and nephews.

One of Marjorie’s greatest loves was her dog, Bailey, whom you would not see leave her side. She also enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and making crafts for friends and family. She was well known amongst her family as a wonderful Italian cook.

Funeral services for Marjorie will be held privately in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home of Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury.
