Marlborough – St. Mary’s Credit Union has appointed Larissa C. Thurston of Hudson, N.H. to the position of chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance. Prior to joining St. Mary’s Credit Union, Thurston served as vice president and controller for Bank of New England in southern New Hampshire. In her role as CFO at St. Mary’s, Thurston will provide vision, leadership and management support of the credit union’s financial operations, as well as collaborate with the senior management team on the development and implementation of corporate strategies.
Thurston’s prior banking experience has also included operations responsibilities in the areas of community reinvestment and compliance; technology and loss management. She is currently a member of the Fiserv Eastern Region User Group.
Thurston holds a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting as well as an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. She is certified by the National ACH Association as an Accredited ACH professional. She is also a member of the Institute of Managerial Accountants.
