Obit Craig MacDonaldWestborough – Craig MacDonald, 82, of Westborough, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014 at Marlborough Hospital. He was the husband of Carole A. (Taylor) MacDonald.

Born in Fitchburg, he was the son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Craig) MacDonald. He was educated in Groton schools and was a graduate of Groton High School where he excelled in basketball and was voted “Most Athletic.” He also earned an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Management from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Central New England College. During the Korean War era, he served with the U.S. Navy.

Craig was employed as an engineer for Bay State Abrasives for 32 years prior to his retirement and had been a resident of Westborough since 1958.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Lynn E. MacDonald and her husband Mark Prus of Moravia, N.Y., Sally Beth MacDonald of Worcester, Susan C. Kaye and her husband Gary of Westborough, and Craig D. MacDonald and his wife Linda of Alexandria, Va.; four grandchildren, Seth Couturier, Alyssa Couturier-Herndon and her husband Jesse, Sara MacDonald, and Steven Kaye; two step-grandchildren, Gary Kaye and Jennifer Kaye; and one great-grandchild, Lennox Kellemu. He was the brother of the late Sally Razzaboni and Scott MacDonald.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. Calling hours are to be held Friday, Nov. 28, from 4-7 p.m., at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St.
