Obit Yolanda CotilloMarlborough – Yolanda (Mattei) Cotillo, 91, a lifelong resident of Marlborough, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the daughter of the late Pasquale and (Giovannina) Mattei and the wife of the late Alfred Cotillo, who died in 1980.

She was a caring mother, devoted to her children and their families. She was generous to everyone and her home was always open and welcoming to family, friends, and all others. An excellent cook, she was able to share her talent, outside her home, providing her son, Bob’s, former catering company, Capers and Canapes, with home baked goods.

Mrs. Cotillo was deeply religious and had been a member of St. Bernadette Parish, Northborough, since the closing of St. Ann’s Parish, Marlborough, where she had been a lifelong member and active in the Holy Rosary Sodality.

She is survived by her sons, Alfred Cotillo and his wife Susan of Randolph, Robert Cotillo and his partner Adrian Little of Las Vegas, Nev., Richard Cotillo of Boxboro, and David Cotillo and his wife Jeannie of Northborough; her daughters, Jeanne Cotillo of Hudson and Marilyn Snediker and her husband Thomas of Marlborough; her brother, Michael Mattei of Pennsylvania; her sister, Anne Secinore of Hudson; and her grandchildren, Alaina Cotillo, Melissa Snediker, T.J. Snediker, Brian Cotillo, Julie Cotillo, Christopher Cotillo, and Kate Cotillo. She was also the sister of the late Joseph D’Onofrio and Mary Rose Murray.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernadette Church, East Main Street (Route 20), Northborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
