The Westborough Cultural Council recently announced its 2015 grants. Thanks to funding from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the town of Westborough, and generous support of ARTS IN COMMON by Amica Insurance, Emseal Corporation, Marlborough Savings Bank, Richard and Diane Irwin, Roche Bros., Barbara Cantwell of Ameriprise Financial, and Price Chopper Supermarkets, the organization fulfilled 33 part and full grant requests.
The following organizations received grants: Armstrong School International Fair; Armstrong School Parent Group; Assbet Valley Mastersingers; Audio Journal; Century Chinese Art Group; Chamber Music Metrowest; Charles River Sinfonietta; Community Band Summer Concert Season; Community Chorus Holiday Production; Fales School Cultural Festival; Gibbons School; Hastings School; Mill Pond School; Northborough Area Community Chorus; Hundredth Town Chorus; Shir Joy Chorus; SkyRise Children’s Theater; Srivedi Thirumalai; Stephen Collins Shake-scene; Sudarshan Thirumalai; Symphony Pro Musica; Together We Can Family Network/YMCA; Vivaldi Cello Concerto Festival; Westborough Community Land Trust; Westborough elementary schools; Westborough High School; Westborough Historical Society; Westborough Players Club; Westborough Public Library; and Westborough Senior Center.
These grantees will be honored at a public reception at the Westborough Senior Center, 4 Rogers Road, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4.
