Westborough – John P. “Jack” Aylward, 80, of Westborough, passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of 51 years to Michaelina F. (Casey) Aylward.

Born in Natick, he later lived in Hopkinton and then in Westborough from 1966 to 2014. He was educated in St. Patrick’s School in Natick and Hopkinton schools. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard J. and Mary (Curtin) Aylward; his sister, Elizabeth Foye; and his brother, Richard Aylward.

He is survived by his sons, J. Casey Aylward of S. Grafton, Matthew F. Aylward of Mechanic Falls, Maine, and Mark A. Aylward of Webster; his sisters, Maureen Aylward and Catherine DeCarlos; and his brothers, Edward Aylward and his wife Judy and William Aylward and his wife Stephanie, all of Hopkinton.

He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, where he was an advisor to the Senior Youth Group and served as an usher. He was also a life member of the Framingham Elks.

Jack enjoyed history, telling a good story, music from the 1920s to 1950s, reading, traveling, spending time with his three boys, and the ocean.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 19, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
