Hudson – CaRMaH (Cat Rescue of Marlborough and Hudson) announced its annual Feline Film Festival will be held Sunday, Jan. 25, from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Strand Theatre, 58 High St., Clinton. The nonprofit rescue’s festival will include a screening of videos submitted by area pet owners as well as videos of YouTube feline stars like Maru and Henri. The event will also feature merchandise, auctions and raffles.

Three-time central Mass. Entertainer of the Year winner and host of TV entertainment shows Dale LePage will act as guest emcee and auctioneer. LePage and renowned guitarist Joe D’Angelo will also perform a short set during the event.

“Based on the success of our first Feline Film Fest fundraiser last year, we decided to make the fundraiser an annual event…,” said Jocelyne Durrenberger, president of the rescue. “Our Facebook friends and adopters have been suggesting videos since the last one, so we’re hoping to have an even greater turnout this year.”

Tickets are $10 and available at carmahfilmfestival2.brownpapertickets.com and, if space allows, at the door the day of the event.

CaRMaH is seeking short (under three minutes) cat-themed videos for the festival. Awards will be given for different categories and all genres are welcome. Individuals may submit up to three separate entries. Humans can be in the video, but clearly the cats are the stars. Submissions should be in the form of a downloadable link. Email submissions to [email protected]; put “CaRMaH Film Fest 2” in the subject line and include name, address and phone number. Videos are being accepted until Monday, Jan. 12. Information and instructions can be found at http://carmah.org.
