Worcester Writers Collaborative glove drive

39

Westborough – Last year, with the tremendous help of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish in Westborough, the Worcester Writers Collaborative (WWC) collected more than 500 books and coloring books for NPH Haiti and Cradles to Crayons. This year, through the generous cooperation of St. Luke’s, the WWC is holding its second annual drive to help those in need. Until Tuesday, Dec. 23, it is collecting new gloves to give as gifts to the guests at the 2014 Bishop’s Christmas Dinner.

The annual dinner hosts many men and women who are homeless or struggling. The WWC wants to add this special touch to this year’s event, so people in need will know that they are cared about and remembered at Christmas.

Those who would like to donate a new pair of gloves (one size fits all or large) may do so at the drop-off box in St. Luke’s Parish Center, 1 Ruggles St., Westborough. Alternatively, people wishing to donate may bring the gloves to any WWC write-in. For more information, visit the Worcester Writers Collaborative Facebook page.
