Westborough – Audrey E. Ayres, 88, of Westborough, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2014 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Willard H. “Bill” Ayres.

Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Albina (Miller) Holt. She was educated in Worcester schools and attended Becker Junior College.

Audrey was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church and belonged to the church’s prayer line. She had been a resident of Westborough since 1954 and was a homemaker dedicated to her home and family.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret A. Cedrone of N. Grafton; two sons, Richard H. Ayres and his wife Terrie of Ringoes, N.J. and Matthew M. Ayres and his wife Karen of Trinity, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Dorothy M. Quinn.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 3, at 10 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Friday, Jan. 2, from 5-8 p.m.
