Shrewsbury – Geraldine C. Hafford, of Shrewsbury, died at home Friday, Dec. 26, 2014 with family gathered by her side. She was 70.
Born in Hartford, Conn., daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine (Grutten) Beaulieu, “Gerry” spent many years in Ashland, Maine; Franklin, Mass.; Rochester, N.H.; and Shrewsbury, Mass.
Gerry lived a simple life with a deep devotion to her faith and a church that she loved, The Ashland Advent Christian Church in Maine. She loved to read and spend time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Guy C. Hafford, who died in October 2007, and a grandson, Corey Hafford.
Gerry is survived by her children, Michael A. Hafford and his wife Helen of Berlin, Guy C. Hafford II and his wife Desiree of Shrewsbury, Mark Hafford of Rochdale, and Tammy Bailey and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Jason Brailey, Anthony, Guy III, Tristen, Wade, and Shala Hafford; her siblings, Gale Hafford and Elaine and Darlene Beaulieu, all of Marlborough, Raymond Beaulieu of Winthrop, Major Robert Beaulieu of Ridge, N.H., and James Beaulieu; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral service was held in Heald & Chiampa Funeral Home, 5 Church Rd., on the town common, Shrewsbury. Burial will occur in the spring time in Masardis Cemetery in Masardis, Maine, as well as a memorial service at the Ashland Advent Christian Church.
