UMass cardiologist to speak at Shrewsbury Woman’s Club

Shrewsbury – In recognition of February as Women’s Heart Health Month, Cynthia Ennis, DO, will speak on “Women and Heart Health” at the First Congregational Church, Gifford Hall, Friday, Feb. 6. Hospitality begins at 12 p.m.; the program starts at 1 p.m. Ennis, a Shrewsbury native, is director of the UMass Medical Center Women’s Heart Health Program, a multidisciplinary clinic that provides unique cardiology care for women. She is a cardiologist, electrophysiologist and assistant professor of medicine at UMass Medical School. She also currently serves as president of the American Heart Association in Central Massachusetts. If time allows, Ennis will provide a brief CPR refresher.

The program, sponsored by the Shrewsbury Woman’s Club, is free and is open to members and their guests. Gifford Hall, at 19 Church Road, is handicapped accessible.
