Shrewsbury – St. Mary School in Shrewsbury hosted its annual Open House and Registration Event Jan. 25. This event marked the start of Catholic Schools Week throughout the United States. This year’s theme, “Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service” exemplifies the essence of what Catholic schools provide for their students, their families and the communities they serve.

The open house was an opportunity for prospective students and their families to tour the classrooms and to meet students, faculty and alumni. A number of St. Mary School graduates returned to share insight on how their experiences at St. Mary provided them with the solid academic foundation for their high school years at Auburn High School, Saint John’s and Shrewsbury High School.

St. Mary School, established in 1961, provides educational excellence in a caring Christ-filled environment for students in preschool through grade 8.

The school serves the Shrewsbury and surrounding communities in providing students with a solid academic foundation, a strong commitment to Christian values and a sense of responsibility in offering their time and talent in the form of service to their community. St. Mary School welcomes students and families from all faiths and ethnic backgrounds.

Applications for preschool through grade 8 are now being accepted and are available online at: http://www.stmarysparish.org/school/Admissions/NewStudent.aspx

If you would like to schedule a personal tour during a day when classes are in session, please contact Admissions Director Jeanmarie MacDonough at [email protected] or at 508 842-1601.
