Originally called the “Dark Ages” by people of the Renaissance, the Middle Ages were not “dark” at all but a dynamic period—filled with grand as well as miserable episodes where states, parliaments and universities came into being. In this film, scholars from Yale University and UCLA share their insights into the lifestyle of the people who lived during this very diverse and fascinating age.
The Documentary Film & Discussion Series meets every 2nd Thursday and 4th Tuesday of the month for an in-depth look at important topics of our day. The moderated discussions are often lively and thought provoking. All points of view are welcomed. For more information, call the library at 508-881-0134 or visit www.friendsoftheapl.com.
