Shrewsbury – Cyril R. Read, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully at home Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 11, 1934 in Seekonk, the oldest child of Frank and Gertrude (Peck) Read, and had been a Shrewsbury resident for over 50 years.
Cyril lived a long and happy life as a husband, father, grandfather, and businessman. He was an avid skier and loved the ocean. He enjoyed nothing more than driving throughout the New England countryside, with his wife at his side, from the mountains of Vermont to the Maine coastline.
He is survived by his wife and two children, all of whom reside locally.
Funeral services will be private.
