Fayville – Helen (Georgaklis) Meleones, 84, of Fayville, died peacefully at her home Monday, Feb. 16, 2015 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Meleones, who passed away in 2002.

Born April 22, 1930 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Electra Georgaklis and sister of the late Louis Georgaklis.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Meleones of Fayville, Tina Desimone and her husband Robert of Sebec, Maine, and Gregory T. Meleones of Roxbury; a sister, Betty Georgaklis of Quincy; her grandchildren, Hunter and Spencer Ann Desimone; her sisters-in-law, Jenny Zevitas and her husband Nick of Arlington, Denna Magos of Newton, and Rita Zervos and her husband Nick of Everett; and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was a graduate of Girls’ High School in Boston, class of 1947, and Kenneth’s Hair Design in Framingham. She worked as a hairdresser at Countryside Beauty Salon in Southborough for many years before working in customer service at Stop & Shop in Framingham, retiring after 10 years. She was a member of Saints Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church in Marlborough.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Feb. 22, from 1-4 p.m., at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m., at Saints Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, 9 Central St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Southborough Rural Cemetery.
