Obit Marlene MeyersGales Ferry, Conn./Northborough – Marlene C. (Mullen) Myers passed away peacefully Saturday, March 14, 2015, at Coleman House in Northborough. She was 81. Her husband, Dr. Robert C. Myers, died in 2014.

Born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Chester and Anna (Gresh) Mullen.

She leaves behind her daughter, Beth A. Myers of Mons, Belgium; her son, Michael P. Myers and his wife Dr. Mary Kay Myers of Berlin, and four grandchildren, Evan Myers, Justin Myers, Caitlyn Myers, and Jillian Myers, all of Berlin.

Marlene graduated from D’Youville College in Buffalo with a BSN degree. A registered nurse by profession, she devoted most of her time raising her children. The Myers family traveled around the world in the military to countries including Iceland, Japan, and Guam. Once stateside, they hosted several exchange students through the Rotary Club.

Dedicated to her Catholic faith, she was active in arranging church liturgy in the many parishes she belonged to.

A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, March 20, at 10 a.m., in St. Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main St., Northborough. There are no calling hours. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough is directing arrangements.
