Region – If you love the ocean, plan to join the Sunshine Club on a trip soon. From May 11-15, the club will be going to Ocean City, Md., and will stop at Atlantic City on the way down as an en route stop. Participants will be staying on the water or very close to it for each hotel. There will be ample time to explore the 5-1/2-mile boardwalk.

There will be a tour of Cape May, N.J., a quaint seaside town with a Victorian influence, and a ferry ride from Cape May to Lewes, Del., with the bus going right on it. There will also be a tour of Assateague Island where more than 300 ponies wander freely. The cost is $539 for five days.

On Thursday, April 9, the Sunshine Club will be having lunch overlooking the water of Greenwich Bay, R.I. at Top of the Bay Restaurant. Choices for this trip are steak tips over rice, chicken marsala, or baked scrod. Also, orchestra seats have been reserved for the Ocean State Theatre’s performance of “Lend Me a Tenor.” Be prepared to laugh and have a fun afternoon!

Both trips depart from the Westborough Senior Center, 4 Rogers Rd., and also the Job Lot parking lot in Whitinsville. Call Sue at 508-372-9266 for more information.
