Hudson – Maureen A. (O’Leary) Penniman, 75, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at Wingate at Sudbury Skilled Nursing Center. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edward A. Penniman Sr. of Hudson.

Maureen was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Albert F. and Esther M. (Litterio) O’Leary. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School. She worked as a Data Processor at Marlborough Hospital for 35-plus years until her retirement. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.

Maureen was a devoted wife and loving mother. She always looked forward to spending time with her husband at their Wells, Maine summer residence and entertaining family whenever they could be there. She enjoyed cooking, especially during the holidays when she would prepare her many special dishes to share with them. In her later years, she cherished the opportunity to spend time with her loving grandchildren. Her loving smile and thoughtful ways will always be remembered.

She is survived by her children, Susan Zochowski and her husband Robert of Temecula, Calif., Donna Thomas and her husband Michael of New Braunfels, Texas, and Edward A. Penniman Jr. of Stratford, Conn. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia Clouter and her husband Stephen of Bolton; her two grandchildren, Michael and Courtney Thomas of New Braunfels, Texas; and several loving nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard and Ronald O’Leary.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 28, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 27, from 5-8 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maureen may be made to the Spaulding Rehabilitation Stroke Fund, Development Office, 300 First Ave., Charlestown, MA 02129.
