Region – As part of Operation Kidsafe’s “Safety Week,” parents or caregivers will be able to get a free child safety kit, including digital fingerprints and photograph, April 27 through May 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, at the Renewal by Andersen showroom, 30C Forbes Rd., Northborough. All children age one and older and special needs adults are encouraged to attend.
Operation Kidsafe captures your child’s picture and fingerprints using a digital video capture device, digital ink-less fingerprint capture device, and specialized software. The captured data is assembled and quality 8-1/2” by 11” printout is given to the parent/caregiver. The printout can be used to provide law enforcement anywhere in the world to instantly aid in an investigation. Note: no database or records of children are maintained. The only record of the visit will go home with the parent/caregiver for safekeeping.
