Obit Polly VigneauWestborough – Polly Vigneau passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2015 at her home in Westborough, where she had lived for the past 54 years. She was predeceased by her husband Robert and son Richard.

Polly is survived by her four children, Lanette Moore and her husband Jay of North Carolina, Robert Vigneau Jr. and his wife Leslie of Millbury, Doug Vigneau and his wife Beth of Millbury, and Lisa Stettler and her husband Jeff of Virginia, and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, Jennifer Moore Strickland and her husband Mark and their children Olivia and William, John Moore and his wife Maureen and their twin children Riley and Owen, Jared Moore and his wife Laura and their son Zachary, Michael Vigneau and his wife Shari and their children Connor and Evan, Robert Vigneau, III and his wife Amanda and their son William, Sarah and Guy Vigneau, and, Richard and Charlotte Stettler. She leaves behind her good friend Patrick Joe Peabody of Westborough.

Polly graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from UMass Amherst and a Master’s of Education from Worcester State University, as well as other required courses to become a school psychologist.

She was a guidance counselor at the Sarah Gibbons Middle School and school psychologist in the Westborough School System for 27 years.

Polly travelled the world, beginning her first travels while at school leading students on 12 trips throughout Europe.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 25, at 10 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial will follow in St. Luke’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough, are Friday, April 24, from 5-8 p.m.
