Hudson – Phyllis A. (Maude) Howe, 80, of Hudson, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 60-plus years to the late Edwin F. Howe Sr., who died in 2014.

Phyllis was born and raised in Natick, daughter of the late Milton and Rose (Fairbanks) Maude. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Natick High School. She took great pride in raising her family along with her husband Edwin in Hudson and was a member of the Hudson Senior Center.

Phyllis enjoyed gardening and crocheting in her spare time. She enjoyed caring for their home in Hudson and always looked forward to spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren, including great-granddaughter Lilith Rush. She will always be remembered and truly missed by all.

She is survived by her son, Robert A. Howe and his wife Patricia of Fitchburg, and was predeceased by her son, Edwin F. Howe Jr. in 1999. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Edwin F. Howe III, Michael Howe, Alicia Howe, and Theodore Howe; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arthur and Kenneth Maude.

Family and friends may attend a calling hour Wednesday, April 29, from 12-1 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, followed by a celebration of Phyllis’ life at 1 p.m. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
