Obit Dorothy CapobiancoMarlborough – Dorothy (Perry) Capobianco, 91, of Marlborough, died peacefully Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Marlborough Hospital.

Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Adeline (Sousa) Perry and the wife of the late Cosmo A. Capobianco, who died in 2011.

Mrs. Capobianco had been employed as the head baker for the Assabet Valley Regional High School in Marlborough from the time the school opened in 1973 until her retirement in 1979.

She was proud of her place as the matriarch of five generations as her family brought her much happiness. Mr. and Mrs. Capobianco wintered in Tucson, Ariz. for many years, and she was a member of the Immaculate Conception Parish, the Daughters of Italy, and the DAV Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son and daughter, Gary Capobianco and Elaine Waldron, both of Marlborough; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Richard and Christopher Capobianco and Geraldine Comerford, and the sister of the late Alma Pinto, Mary Emerald, Louise Green, and Dinah Cook.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, May 18, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 19, at 11 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street.
