Westborough – Did you know? The first state reform school for boys in the country was established in Westborough in 1849. Westborough was founded when it split off from the bordering town of Marlborough. Attend the Westborough Historical Society’s Open House and learn what the town will be celebrating in 2017. The event will take place Sunday, June 7, from 2-4 p.m., at Sibley House, 13 Parkman St. It is free and open to the public.

On Monday, June 1, at 7 p.m. the society will present “And Now…Mark Twain!” at The Willows, 1 Lyman St. Enjoy a visit with one of America’s best-loved humorists as Richard Clark performs a one-man play featuring Mark Twain’s life and works.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Westborough Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
