NEW DATE! Due to weather conditions, the PGO was canceled for June 2, but has now been rescheduled for Monday, June 29.
Marlborough – The Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce (MRCC) announced its 41st Premier Golf Open (PGO) will be held Tuesday, June 2, at the Marlborough Country Club. The PGO is an annual event featuring golf as well as after-event networking, a social hour and dinner. This year there will be a special silent auction featuring sports and celebrity memorabilia as well as fantastic raffle prizes. This event is open to the public and non-golfers are invited to attend dinner and post-golf activities.

“This year’s PGO is unlike any other we’ve held. It’s a much bigger day with a broader audience. The day offers something for everyone, golf pro or not, with an opportunity to play with special guests from the Boston Bruins alumni,” explained Susanne Morreale Leeber, MRCC president and CEO.

The day begins with a continental breakfast sponsored by Main Street Café and Honey Dew Donuts at 8 a.m. Players may take advantage of a free short game clinic by Skip Guss of GolfRite. A golf shotgun start follows at 9 a.m., boxed lunch at 11 a.m. and dinner beginning at 3 p.m. For the golfers there will be a chance to win a 2015 Nissan Altima on the Hole in One challenge.

MRCC still has green, tee and cart sponsorships available. Current Executive sponsors include Boston Scientific and Hologic; major sponsors are Quest Diagnostics, St. Mary’s Credit Union, Boyd Coatings, DTZ and Boston Biomedical. Lunch sponsorship provided by Doctors Express.
