Hopkinton – Well over 1,000 children and their families braved the rain to attend Hopkinton Public Library Foundation’s Fourth Annual Touch-A-Truck and Food Truck Festival held May 31. The event, held at Hopkinton High School, raised $11,000 for the restoration, renovation and expansion of Hopkinton Public Library. Children climbed in the driver’s seats and honked the horns of over 50 trucks, cars, construction, military, emergency and other vehicles. Families enjoyed tasty treats from local food trucks. Many took a ride on the Roaming Railroad, got their faces painted by Joelle Crosby of Joelle’s Skincare and Makeup, made a craft with the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, and visited with Queen Elsa from Fairy Tale Parties.

Touch-A-Truck was sponsored by Next Generation Children’s Centers, Paul M. Phipps Insurance Agency, The Razor’s Edge, and Kumon of Hopkinton. Pink Truck Designs, Lisa at Mickey Guru Travel, Next Step Living, and LeafFilter, Inc., added to the festivities as vendors.
