Assabet Valley Lacrosse wins vocational championship

Region – After an undefeated 16-0 season, the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School boys’ lacrosse team went on to win the Massachusetts Vocational Championship. It was a season with many milestones, as Coach Tim Tonelli also achieved his 100th win as the lacrosse coach, and the team is seeded in second place as they head into the district playoffs. The team is comprised of the following students: Nicholas and Cameron Benway (Bolyston); Patrick Pierce (Clinton); Johnathan Silva, Collin Camara (Marlborough); Spencer Cannistraro, Chris Lazaros, Kevin Messom, Devon Hassan (Hudson); Mitch Blasko, Sam Moore (Northborough); Mitch Sweeney (Maynard); Beau Beardsley, Austin and Matt Erickson, Christian Gleason, Austin DuVarney, Brian Rucho (West Boylston); and Austin Lizotte (Shrewsbury).
