Obit Ann WarfieldShrewsbury – Ann Warfield’s life was always centered on her family. They were with her when she passed peacefully Saturday, June 6, 2015 after two courageous battles against cancer. She was 70.

Ann Marie (Bibeau) Warfield was born Nov. 21, 1944, a daughter of Michelina (Protano) Bibeau and the late Henry Bibeau. Raised and educated in Shrewsbury, she graduated from Shrewsbury High School, class of 1963, and earned her bachelor’s degree in science from Anna Maria College. She married Albert W. Her professional career began at St. Vincent Hospital and later as a lab technician at University of Massachusetts Medical Center, where she worked for over 30 years.

Diagnosed in 1992 with advanced breast cancer, she beat the dreaded disease and life afforded her many more memories. In 2010, she was diagnosed with bone cancer, but continued the fight to enjoy the balance of her days.

Ann loved time spent on the beach…..either in Aruba for her annual timeshare or on the Cape. It’s on the beach where she would breathe in the freshness of the sea and breathe out the cares of the day. She loved travelling and vacations to Disney with her family. She was an avid New England sports enthusiast and was able to revel in the victory of last year’s Super Bowl win and be in attendance for the game.

She leaves her son, Jeffrey A. Warfield and his wife Maggie and their children, Rosie, Henry and Danny, all of Grafton; her mother, Michelina “Mickey” Bibeau of Shrewsbury; her sister, Linda Correia of Shrewsbury; her aunt, Jennie Duncan of Shrewsbury; her in-laws, Jim and Sharon Warfield, Mary and William Shaffer, and Jerry and Cheri Warfield, all of Streator, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews, including Amy Kovac and her husband Joe and Lindsy Correia.
