Region – Shrewsbury resident Tom McGregor, senior vice president and regional commercial banking executive of United Bank’s Worcester market, received the Community Bank Heroes Award presented by The Warren Group/Banker & Tradesman.
The award honors the achievements, commitment and dedication of financial professionals who go above and beyond for their institution and community. To be selected for the award, the banker must be dedicated to service and reinvestment in the community and make charitable giving a priority.
McGregor was among only 14 Massachusetts bankers to be honored in 2015. The winners were presented the award May 27 in Boston.
McGregor joined United Bank in January 2015 and has over 20 years of commercial banking experience. He serves on the Board of Directors for Mechanics Hall and The Research Bureau. He also serves on the Executive Committee for Y.O.U., Inc., a nonprofit that serves troubled adolescents throughout Worcester County.
