She was born in 1914 to Fred and Gertrude Hoyt on College Hill in Worcester. She was longtime resident of Westborough. She was very active in the town, participating in the Westborough Woman’s club for over 35 years, and was a member of the Congregational Church and an active member of the senior center.

Kay was a prolific artist who was painting into her late 90s. She was the first woman enrolled in mechanical drawing classes at Worcester Commerce High School and graduated from Massachusetts School of Art. Their many trips included a cruise to the Panama Canal and the United Kingdom in their 80s! She loved to travel to Alaska to visit her cousin Jim and his wife Carol, and was inspired to paint many Alaskan scenes.

Kay was proud to be able to live in her own home until she was 99 years old because of the love and support of her wonderful friends and neighbors. Her beautiful smile and kind heart will be fondly remembered not only by her loving family, but also her many friends.
