Southborough firefighter graduates from Mass. Firefighting Academy

Southborough – Southborough Firefighter Travis L. Pacific was one of 21 local firefighters to graduate from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy June 19. State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan and Academy Director George D. Kramlinger announced the graduation of the 229th class of the academy’s 45-day Career Recruit Firefighting Training Program at the Department of Fire Services in Stow.

“This rigorous professional training provides our newest firefighters with the basic skills to perform their jobs effectively and safely,” Coan said.

The Massachusetts Firefighting Academy (MFA), a division of the Department of Fire Services, offers this program tuition-free.
