Marlborough – Peter Dionis, 94, of Marlborough, died Sunday, June 28, 2015.
Born in Clinton, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Prinos) Dionisopoulos and the husband of the late Louise (Casavecchia) Dionis, who died in 2008. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army, CO C 44th Engr. Combat Battalion.
Mr. Dionis was employed by the City of Marlborough as the head custodian for the public school system, retiring in 1982. He was very easygoing and well-liked by everyone.
He is survived by his son, Steven Dionis and his wife Andree of Berlin; his daughters, Gail Di Rado and her husband Robert of Studio City, Calif. and Paul Strategakis of Marlborough; his brother, Chris Dionis and his wife Harriet of Worcester; his grandchildren, Nicole and Michael Strategakis and Peter and Dana Di Rado; and his great-granddaughter, Francesca Di Rado. He was also the father of the late Gary Dionis and father- in-law of the late John Strategakis, who died in April 2015.
