Shrewsbury – Saint Nicholas Church, 34 Gold St., Shrewsbury, will hold an electronic recycling day Saturday, Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the church parking lot. Accepted items include monitors, computers, computer games, stereo equipment, copy and fax machines, printers, microwaves, computer towers, dehumidifiers and TVs. They are also accepting any appliances, such as air conditioners, dehumidifiers, washers, dryers, stoves and refrigerators, as well as lawn mowers, snow blowers with the gas removed, exercise equipment and grills. Unwanted bicycles in any condition will be accepted to be repaired and reused as well.
Fees range from $5 to $25 depending on the size of the item. Cell phones, bikes, car and truck batteries and scrap metal are free to recycle.
