Hudson – Local linebacker Michael DiPlacido from Hudson Youth Football recently impressed NFL-level coaches at the Football University (FBU) Top Gun Showcase held in Dublin, Ohio. DiPlacido was invited to Top Gun based on his outstanding performance at the FBU Boston camp. He joined more than 700 of the nation’s top athletes at their position and trained with current and former NFL players and coaches. At the academy, he was recognized and received the Gatorade Top Ten standout for 2021.

This national showcase gathered the most elite performers from across the country and allowed them to compete and display their abilities together on one stage. Headlining the Top Gun Showcase coaching staff were Jeff Rutledge, former quarterback coach of the Arizona Cardinals; running back coach Robert Edwards; offensive line coach Jim McNally; defensive back coach Ray Buchanan; and wide receiver coach Charlie Collins.

Football University is a national, position-specific based training camp for the serious football player, focused on teaching technique and skill in a small group setting with other elite athletes.
