Marlborough – Charter Foods North is asking the City Council to approve a special permit to establish a Taco Bell restaurant with a drive-thru facility at 773 Boston Post Road East. The building will be redesigned as a 67-seat restaurant on the inside and plans are to use the original drive-through window, according to Attorney David P. Gadbois, who is representing Charter Foods North.
The request was referred to the Urban Affairs Committee and a public hearing was scheduled to be held at the Monday, Aug. 24, council meeting.
In other business, an application for a site plan to construct a day care center at 70 Simarano Drive was referred to the Urban Affairs Committee for study and recommendation. Representing the applicant, Mammoth Development Corporation, Gadbois said the company is planning to establish The Learning Experience Child Development Center with 40 parking spaces. Upon approval of the site plan by the City Council, the applicant will purchase the property and begin construction. The property is owned by Atlantic-Marlboro Realty, LLC. The day care center will be part of the new Marlborough Hills mixed-use land on Forest Street, the former Hewlett-Packard campus.
