Obit Steven MarshallNorthborough/Waltham – Steven Christopher Marshall, 29 years old, died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 from a fall while hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Currently of Waltham, Chris grew up in Northborough and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 2003. He furthered his education by graduating from W.P.I. in 2007, earning a degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering.

His professional career began at SynQor in Boxborough where Chris worked for four years. He most recently worked at Demiurge Studios in Cambridge as a game designer.

Chris was passionate about gaming, scuba diving, traveling, karate/Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Bruce Campbell movies, and ketchup.

Chris leaves behind his parents, Steven and Arlene (Chamberlain) Marshall of Northborough; his sister, Julie Marshall, nephew Isaac Rose, and Isaac’s father Michael Rose, all of Northborough; Peggy Hitchins, his dearest love with whom he lived; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in New Jersey and Ohio, including his beloved Aunt Karen Marshall. One of Chris’s legacies is also his place in the hearts of his many beloved friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m., in the First Parish Church Unitarian, 40 Church St., Northborough. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
