Westborough – This summer, Westborough Recreation ran its first ever Cornhole League featuring four teams.
Cornhole is a lawn game in which players take turns throwing bags of corn at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. A bag in the hole scores three points, while one on the platform scores one point. Play continues until a team or player reaches the score of 21.
The Silver Snakes, the team of Jess Harris and Amy Milhomme, dominated the regular season going undefeated. They were tested in the championship round against Jimmy Crack Cornhole in a best of three match. After losing the first game, they came back strong and won the next two to claim the coveted Cornhole Champion Pint Glass.
