UMass organizes September events to benefit infants and children

Region – The University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center will hold several volunteer-organized fundraising events during September.

The 12th annual Bullfinchs Rubber Duck Race to benefit the Child Life Program at UMass Memorial will be held Monday, Sept. 7, at 12 p.m. at Grist Mill – Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, 220 Wayside Inn Road, Sudbury.

The Tee Up for Tots Golf Tournament to benefit the UMass Memorial Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will be held Tuesday, Sept. 8, at the Charter Oak Country Club, 394 Chestnut St., Hudson, beginning at 10 a.m.

The sixth annual TDD Triathlon also to benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will be held at Douglas State Forest, Wallum Lake Road, Douglas, at 9 a.m. The triathlon is a memorial race for Tyrus, Dante, and Daniel Vescio, triplet sons of local racers, Don and Elaine Vescio.
