Obit Charles LenardsonShrewsbury – Charles Lenardson, 64, of Shrewsbury, passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015. He leaves his wife of 24 years, Amy, and their two sons, Adrian, 22, and Eli, 18.

He is also is survived by Susan Lewis and her husband Robert of Henniker, N.H., Janet Dexter and her husband Frederick of Northborough, and Jon Kniskern and his wife Crystal of Stoughton, and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Charles was born in Pawtucket, R.I., son of the late Julia Lenardson. He attended St. Andrew’s High School in Rhode Island and the University of Rhode Island.

For over 30 years, Charles practiced massage therapy and shiatsu in Shrewsbury, but his real passion was practicing and teaching yoga. He was a beloved teacher, with his soft quite way, his sense of humor, and his vast knowledge of body, mind and spirit.

Charles lived in Massachusetts, but his heart was always in Rhode Island. His favorite places to visit were along the ocean fronts of Narragansett, Little Compton, and Newport.

His pride and joy were his two beautiful sons, Adrian and Eli. He was invested in every aspect of their lives from rooting at the sidelines to co-signing for vehicles. Charles was there for them always.

As a husband, he was a loving, compassionate man. Charles and Amy called themselves the dynamic duo. Together, they created a home of beautiful gardens and lots and lots of love. They were the best of friends – hearts and souls always embraced.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service Saturday, Sept. 12, from 2-4 p.m., at the Lenardsons’ family home at 139 Walnut St., where Charles’ life will be celebrated by sharing stories about him that will make us laugh, cry and say, “I didn’t know that about him!”
