Westborough – Rhythm Dance Company (RDC) recently finished a successful competition season by performing at the Turn It Up Dance Challenge’s 2015 Nationals held in Cape Cod, Mass. The company’s season was filled with many notable achievements including attending five regional competitions, numerous conventions, and one national competition and The Dance Awards in Las Vegas. The company performed 58 solos, 26 duos and trios, and 41 group dances.
Rhythm Dance Company prides itself in being a strong team, but also recognizes many stand-out soloists this year. Kendra Lippert had the highest scoring solo at Turn It Up Nationals. She won first place overall as well as the title “Miss Senior Turn It Up”. She also won first place at three other competitions this season. Kira Marderosian was awarded the title “Miss Teen Turn It Up” at Nationals. Kira’s solos earned her first place overall at three competitions including Jump in Boston. Kendra and Kira also won the titles “Miss Teen and Miss Junior Headliner” this year in Worcester. Emily Spurr received the Title of Miss Teen Starpower at the Starpower National Competition in Uncasville, Conn.
Rhythm Dance Company offers competitive and performance level programs for ages 2.5 and older. Classes are offered in Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, Acro, Boys Only Classes, and Preschool.
