Grafton – Eileen N. (Ryan) Adams, 76, died peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.

She leaves her husband of 55 years, J. Thomas “Tommy” Adams; her sons, Ray Adams and his wife Sue and Dan Adams and his wife Michelle; her grandchildren, Mike, Nick, Jessica, Katelyn, and Eric; her great-grandchildren, Landin, Jaxon and Devyn, and her sister, Joyce Everhart, along with several nieces and nephews. Her brother, Robert Ryan, predeceased her.

Eileen was born Aug. 19, 1939 in Milford, daughter of the late Dorothy B. (Roy) and Ralph Ryan. She grew up in Brunswick, Maine on her family’s farm where you might have found her riding the tractor with a wide grin on her face. She relocated to Massachusetts with her husband Tommy and they raised their family in the Rockdale section of Northbridge before moving to Grafton where they lived for more than 25 years.

She was the matriarch of her family and her legacy of putting others first is now cherished by those that loved her.

All are invited to gather with Eileen’s family and friends Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10-11 a.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, followed by a prayer service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton.
