Hudson – Ann M. (Bedard) Higgins, 84, of Hudson, formerly of Marlborough, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015 at Marlborough Hospital.

Born in Willimantic, Conn., she was the daughter of the late Emil and Theresa (Sullivan) Bedard and the wife of the late Robert J. Higgins, who died in 1993.

Mrs. Higgins graduated in 1948 from Windham High School, Willimantic. She had been employed as a secretary for the medical practices of Dr. Gitlin and later Dr. Sable, both of Marlborough.

She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Parish, an avid reader and enjoyed the companionship of her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ladden of Marlborough, Nancy Brazeau and her husband Steve of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Marlborough, and Kathleen Andrews and her husband Ray of Hudson: her brothers, Paul Bedard and his wife Debbie of Trenton, N.J. and Thomas Bedard and his wife Diane of Tempe, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, Sept. 18, from 5-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Peasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 19, at 9 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street in Marlborough.
