Obit Lillian CaolaShrewsbury – Lillian E. (Salvi) Caola, formerly of Southgate at Shrewsbury, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2015. She was 91.

She was born Sept. 8, 1924 in Wellesley, and was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry G. Caola, and their daughter, Jean E. Caola.

She leaves her children, John R. Caola and his wife Tamara Dunn of Wellington, Fla., Jane E. Caola of Shrewsbury, June E. Stokoe and her husband Martin of Northborough, Joseph P. Caola and his wife Gretchen of Fayetteville, Ga., James H. Caola and his wife Deborah of Shrewsbury, and Joan E. Greer and her husband Nathan of Clearlake Oaks, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Prior to her marriage, she worked as a secretary to Roger Babson at Babson College.

Lillian and her husband raised their family in Shrewsbury and were members of St. Mary’s Parish. She was an active member of the Shrewsbury Senior Center and enjoyed bowling and playing Bingo. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

At Lillian’s request, her family will gather to honor and remember her life privately at Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House in Shrewsbury Center Thursday, Sept. 24, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery.
